Call on Canberra
Call On Canberra is Bowel Cancer Australia's signature advocacy event, held every June, where Australians from around the country raise awareness and advocate for important policy change from home or live from Parliament House.
This year, advocates will be raising awareness for early-onset bowel cancer. Too often, younger Australians with bowel cancer symptoms find themselves self-advocating as the only consistent and reliable resource for overcoming age bias, barriers to diagnosis, and optimising outcomes for a disease that is not only on the rise, but the deadliest cancer for those aged 25-44.
Youthfulness should not be a barrier to timely diagnosis.
