  • Xeloda is PBS-subsidised as a treatment option for metastatic bowel cancer. 
  • Xeloda is PBS-subsidised as a treatment option for adjuvant treatment of stage III (Dukes C) colon cancer, following complete resection of the primary tumour.
  • Xeloda is not PBS-subsidised for the treatment of patients with Stage II (Dukes B) colon cancer.
  • Xeloda is not PBS-subsidised for the adjuvant treatment of patients with rectal cancer.
  • Xeloda in combination with Eloxatin (XELOX) is listed as a PBS-subsidised treatment option for the adjuvant treatment of stage III (Dukes C) colon cancer, which allows Xeloda to be reimbursed as both monotherapy and as part of the XELOX combination.
